Abstract | Here we present processed hourly subsurface temperatures from Underwater Temperature Recorders (UTRs) located at a depth of 17m off Ponta Zavora, Mozambique (24.4821°S; 35.2391°E), along the east coast of Southern Africa, between 12 July 2007 and 01 February 2010. At selected sites around Southern Africa, UTRs have been used to obtain long-term records of bottom temperatures in the nearshore environment, at depths ranging from 2m to 34m. Note that for some deployments, two UTRs were deployed to simultaneously record bottom temperatures. |
Methods | Subsurface-mounted, Underwater Temperature Recorder(s) (UTR) were deployed at a depth of 17m off Ponta Zavora, Mozambique (24.4821°S; 35.2391°E), along the east coast of Southern Africa. The instrument(s) measured hourly temperature(s) readings between 12 July 2007 12h00 and 01 February 2010 14h00. |
