Abstract Coastal, land based automatic weather stations situated in the West Coast of South Africa; Cape Columbine, Elands Bay and Port Nolloth have been actively collecting data for various project since 1982 until today at different locations. These instruments provide useful meteorological information for understanding coastal dynamics such as upwelling, ocean current movements and air sea exchange.
Methods All values were measured using a Vaisala Weather Transmitter WXT520, the raw data is unaltered data from the weather station.
