Abstract The South Coast Inshore Demersal Biomass and Horse Mackerel Acoustic Survey was conducted on the Africana 125 from 21 September to 18 October 1994. The primary objective is to conduct a stratified bottom trawl survey to assess the biomass, abundance and distribution of hake, sole, horse mackerel, squid and other trawl species on the Agulhas Bank up to 200m, but biased in terms of number of stations in depths up to 120m.
