Abstract This is processed Conductivity, Temperature, Depth (CTD) data from the IIOE2 on SA Agulhas II Voyage 028 from October - November, 2017. The International Indian Ocean Expedition 2 is a collaborative regional cruise to build capacity and strength within Africa. The focus will be on developing students in the region in the areas of physical oceanography, chemistry, biological oceanography, benthic biodiversity, marine top predators and marine plastics.
Methods The CTD profile and bottle data were both processed using Sea-Bird Scientific's SBE Data Processing software (version 7.25.0.319). The temperature, salinity, conductivity, oxygen, fluorometer, PAR, SPAR and turbidity data were then imported into Excel for both the profile and bottle data, with the inclusion of derived oxygen, derived salinity, derived density and derived sound velocity data for the profile data only.
