Abstract	Unprocessed underwater temperature recorder data in Knysna, south coast of South Africa from November 2008 to November 2009, at a depth of 7m. UTR Serial Number: 3T2814. All data collected when the UTR was not in position was removed from the dataset. This was accomplished using the mooring Deployment and Recovery sheets. This data has not been despiked.
Methods	Underwater Temperature Recorder (UTR) was moored in Knysna. Data in ASCII format was trimmed according to when the instrument was in the water, and converted to a raw NetCDF file.
