Abstract	Processed underwater temperature recorder data in Knysna, south coast of South Africa from November 2008 to November 2009, at a depth of 7m. UTR Serial Number: 3T2814. All data collected when the UTR was not in position was removed from the dataset. This was accomplished using the mooring Deployment and Recovery sheets. The data was then manually despiked.
Methods	Underwater Temperature Recorder (UTR) was moored in Knysna. Data in ASCII format was trimmed according to when the instrument was in the water, and converted to a raw NetCDF file. Manual despiking of the remaining data was executed to produce a second, processed NetCDF file.
