Long-term observations of hourly bottom temperatures at Elands Bay (May 1992 - August 1992)

Here we present processed hourly subsurface temperatures from Underwater Temperature Recorders (UTRs) located at a depth of 2.5m off Elands Bay (32.3167°S 18.3200°E), along the west coast of South Africa, between 27 May 1992 and 13 August 1992. At selected sites around Southern Africa, UTRs have been used to obtain long-term records of bottom temperature in the nearshore environment, at depths ranging from 2m to 34m.
