Processed CTD discrete observations from the West Coast Hake Biomass Survey on the Africana Voyage 015, January 1984
This is processed CTD discrete data from the upcast collected during the West Coast Hake Biomass Survey on the Africana Voyage 015 from 05 - 31 January 1984. The cruise operated in the Benguela Current Large Marine Ecosystem (BCLME) region on the west coast of South Africa. The purpose of this cruise was to survey by means of trawling the abundance of recruiting and adult hake between the Orange River and longitude 20° E. The objectives also included investigating the diurnal cycle of hake...

Processed imagery data collected off the western margin's deep-sea environment on Algoa Voyage 246, February 2018
The aim of the Integrated Ecosystem Program (IEP) Benthic Project is to establish a baseline for epi-benthic invertebrate distribution, in order to identify benthic indicators for long-term monitoring within the pre-determined IEP monitoring lines. Ten stations were successfully surveyed, on board the R/V Algoa in February 2018, using a towed under-water benthic camera. The acquired abundance data represents five stations from the Kleinsee transect, four from Namaqua and one from St Helena Bay.
